Uganda Premier League side Kitara FC have completed the signing of former BUL FC midfielder Jeromy Kirya.
Kirya joins the Royals on a two year employment contract as a free agent and expressed his delight upon the move.
“It’s a new team and place for me after being in Jinja for quite some time, but I’m steadily settling in well. Let’s hope for the best experience. “There are many good players in the team and I definitely expect the competition to be high, but I believe I have what it takes to succeed here.”
Kirya was among the ten players released by BUL FC last month and had looked destined for NEC FC but Kitara are believed to be offering a better deal.
Eight time UPL champions Vipers have been admiring Kirya’s signature before the interest cooled down.
Kirya spent five years at BUL FC whom he joined from Busoga United in 2021 and has been one of the outstanding performers for the Jinja based side.
He joins other new recruits at Kitara who are goalkeeper Joel Mutakubwa, Nicholas Kasozi, Diego Missi Ssemugera, Jackson Sembatya, Martin Kizza Lubwama and Ghanian defender Christopher Bonney.
