Alpha Thierry Ssali scored the all important goal as Express FC beat Solitilo Bright Stars 1-0 at Muteesa II Stadium in Wankulukuku.
The Red Eagles could have scored more especially in the first period that they dominated.
Ssali fired the home side into an early lead to send the seven time league champions into delight.
This was Alpha’s maiden goal in the topflight division since making a move to the Wankulukuku based side from Proline.
Ssali’s goal inspired James Odoch coached side to their third straight win and remain one of the sides yet to test defeat this campaign.
Express move to third place on the UPL log with 10 points they have garnered in four games
Meanwhile, Bright Stars remain winless this term having managed just two points in their opening four games
Defeat sees leaves them in 13th place and a point above the Red zone.
Express FC next face UPDF FC on Friday, 27th October while Bright Stars next host Vipers SC on the same day.
