Lugazi FC and defender Savio Kabugo have officially parted company after one season.
This has been confirmed via the social media platforms of the newly promoted Uganda Premier League side.
Kabugo joined Lugazi at the start of last season in September last year as a free agent.
He played an enormous role as the Lugazi based club won promotion to the topflight from the Big League.
Kabugo provided experience and seniority to the Lugazi FC squad and his contribution didn’t go unnoticed.
He is a former player of KCCA FC, SC Villa, URA FC, Proline FC and the now defunct SC Victoria University.
The former Uganda Cranes towering defender also had stints with Jwaneng Galaxy in Botswana, AS Vita in DR Congo and Ethiopia’s Sebeta Kenema.
In the same vain, Lugazi also confirmed that Wasswa Paul, Derrick Mwanje, Gift Mohamed Lubega and Richard Ayiko have all signed new contracts with the club.
Nelson Mandela, Emmanuel Obua, Rogers Adriko, Denis Lubowa and Yusuf Saaka Sharif are the newly unveiled players at the club.
