Kyobe resigns as Paidha Black Angels head coach

Ibrahim Kyobe has decided to step down from his head coaching role at FUFA Big League entity Paidha Black Angels.

Kyobe who was appointed in August on a two year employment contract confirmed his departure from the club in a letter he wrote to the club Chief Executive Officer.

“I am writing to formally notify you that I have resigned from my position as head coach. This decision comes after a series of challenges I have faced with the club particularly not being paid and involvement in team lineups which are not aligned with my contract.I believe that stepping down from the role is the best solution for both myself and the club.” Read part of the statement

He leaves the West Nile based side in ninth position on the FUFA Big League table with six points they have garnered in four games.

Kyobe is one of the coaches that have served in the prestigious Buganda Masaza Cup tournament having previously served in the capacity of assistant coach at Gomba in the prestigious Buganda Masaza Cup at Gomba in 2004, 2008, 2014, 2016, 2017 and 2018.

Besides Gomba, Kyobe also worked as assistant coach at Buluuli in 2011, Buwekula in 2012 and was among Ibrahim Kirya’s assistants at Buddu in 2022 and last year at Bulemeezi.
