Gladys Zawedde
Aziz Ssempijja won the 70km of the third Masaza Cycling Tour Grand Finale at Lubiri Ring Road and also emerged as the overall winner in road bikes of the year 2024.
Ssempijja has attributed his success to hard work and teammates for the support,
“My victory has not come by mistake, it has been a result of hardwork and continued training, I have been training with my team going through the route every now and then.”
“In fact, I will ride more rounds since my teammates have given me support “.
Ssempijja further appreciated the organisers for the opportunity granted to showcase his ability.
“I appreciate the Ministry for thinking about us and organisers for us. Way back, we did not have this kind of competition and we are grateful we wait for more and we promise to always come and take part.”
Kevin Nakato was the overall winner of the season in road bikes Women category.
Willy Kato and Shanitah Beatrice emerged winners of the year in men’s and women’s category respectively.
