Tanzania Women’s Premier League side Simba Queens has completed the signing Crested Cranes winger Zainah Nandede from Kampala Queens, Swift Sports Uganda understands.
Nandede is the 2024 FUFA Female Most Valuable Player has already bid farewell to Kampala Queens ahead of her move to Tanzania’s Simba Queens.
Egyptian sides Al Ahly, Arab Contractors (Al Mokawloon) and Morocco’s Phoenix Marrakech are the pther clubs that have been scrambling for Nandede’s signature in this transfer window.
Simba Queens finished second on the Tanzania Women Premier league table last season as they lost the title on goal difference to JKT Queens. Both finished with 47 points but JKT Queens had a goal difference of 69.
Nandede’s employment contract with Kampala Queens was due to expire in August this year.
She joined Kampala Queens in 2022 from She Kataka and has been one of the key players at the club.
She scored a total of eight goals last season and two assists as Kampala Queens won the league title at the expense of their rivals Kawempe Muslim.
Nandede has also previously been part of the national U17 and U20 Team set-ups before establishing a place for herself on the senior national team The Crested Cranes.
