NEC FC will be seeking to keep their continental adventure alive when they face off with Nairobi United in their return leg fixture of the CAF Confederation preliminary round in Nairobi.
NEC FC find themselves in a must win situation following their 2-2 draw in the first leg at Hamz Stadium in Nakivubo last weekend.
The Hussein Mbalangu coached side need a win of any kind to progress to the next round while a goalless draw eliminates them.
Mbalangu whose side touched down in Nairobi on Tuesday asserts that his charges are well prepared for the task ahead.
“We were disappointed with the result in the first leg but good enough we didn’t lose the game,” said Mbalangu. “We have to do well in both boxes and if we are clinical, I have belief we can still do to them what they did to us in Kampala.” Said Mbalangu
His side will be without Cromwell Rwothomio, scorer of one of the goals in the previous fixture is out with an injury.
Emmanuel Kulanga and James Jarieko are doubtful.
The aggregate winner will face the winner between Sudan’s Al Ahli Madani vs Tunisia’s ES Sportive in the first round
