Uganda’s national women’s cricket team Victoria Pearls will host Canada in a bilateral T20 International Series, the Victoria Series, from October 18th to 27th.
The 2025 Victoria Series, which will form part of the ICC Women’s Cricket Week celebrations, will be played at Lugogo Oval.
“We are excited to host the Canada Women’s Team for this historic series with our Victoria Pearls. It marks the beginning of a great partnership between Uganda and Canada as we continue to offer our women players valuable international exposure.
“We look forward to a competitive and enjoyable week of cricket, capped by our joint CSR activities during Women’s Cricket Week,” Cricket Uganda’s Honorary Secretary, Denis Musali, said as quoted in a press release.
The Victoria Pearls fresh from a successful local season,will use the series as crucial preparation for the ICC Women’s Emerging Trophy set for November in Thailand.
“This series will help us track our progress in key areas such as mental toughness, communication, and role-specific execution. It’s a perfect platform to test combinations and fine-tune ahead of our global campaign,” Victoria Pearls’ Head Coach, Deus Muhumuza, says of the Series.
