Buddu who needed a miracle to overturn their first leg defeat to Gomba won the return leg 1-0, thanks to Sunny Kaija strike at Kitovu Sports Arena but bowed out on aggregate 3-1. David GOMBE Uganda’s long-distance legend Joshua Cheptegei has won an incredible bronze medal in the men’s half marathon at the World Athletics Road Running Championships in Copenhagen. Cheptegei clocked a new personal best of 58:25 in a remarkable performance, marking his fastest ever time over the 21.0975km distance. In a thrilling race, Sweden’s Andreas Almgren took gold while Kenya’s Kipkorir claimed silver in what was a high-quality field. The medal adds to Cheptegei’s illustrious collection that already includes Olympic and World titles over 5000m and 10000m, as he continues to show his class on the roads.
David GOMBE KCCA FC have loaned forward Kennedy Muserero to new Uganda Premier League entity Ntugasaze FC, Swift Sports Uganda can reliably confirm. Muserero joins Ntugasaze on a one-year loan deal from the 13-time Uganda Premier League champions. The giant forward joined KCCA FC from Edgars FC on a contract spanning three years and four months in February this year.
