Amaku, Stojanovic named Pilsner UPL best of March/April

The organisers of the Pilsner Uganda Premier league player and coach of the month have named the winners for combined months March and April.

Maroons FC striker Fred Amaku and SC Villa head coach Dusan Stojanovic are the best player and coach of the month respectively.

Amaku played five games, scoring three goals, one assist and also won one player of the match accolade.

He beat KCCA FC forward Muhammad Shaban who scored three goals and one assist in four matches. Amaku edged Shaban on the player of the match gong.

Vipers SC attacker Allan Okello was the other in contention having managed to score two goals and one assist in five games.

Meanwhile, SC Villa’s Stojanovic clinched the coach of the month of March and April accolade.

The Serbian tactician guided SC to two wins and drew as many in four matches.

He overcame NEC FC’s Hussein Mbalangu who had three wins and two defeats in five and Maroons Muhammad Senfuma with two wins, a draw and two losses in five games.

The winners were each rewarded with cash worthy Shs1M and a winners accolade.
