Police FC will need at least two wins from their final four games of the Big League to confirm promotion back to the Uganda Premier League.

This follows their 5-0 comprehensive win over fellow former UPL side Kyetume FC in a game played at Kavumba Recreation Ground on Sunday.

Veteran striker Herman Wasswa Nteza served himself with a brace on a day while Raymond Onyai, Steven Kabuye and Reagan Male grabbed a goal apiece.

Onyai broke the deadlock with an exquisite finish from Brian Obedi’s assist inside the box in the 26th minute.

Wasswa finally made it 2-0 later in the second half, in the 70th minute before completing his brace with a perfectly converted penalty after a foul on Kabuye in the box seven minutes later.

Kabuye who came off the bench to replace Onyai, then made it 4-0 from Dennis Kalanzi’s cross in the 88th minute.

Male completed the rout in the 90th minute with a tap in from Wasswa’s assist.

The victory took the Cops, who are leading the Big League table, to 47 points and back to winning ways having lost and drawn their previous games to Blacks Power and Mbale Heroes respectively.

The Cops are five points clear of second placed Kataka FC who have played a game more.
