BUL take slim first leg advantage over Kigezi Homeboyz

BUL FC registered a slender 2-1 victory over Big League side Kigezi HomeBoyz in their first leg of the round of 16 at Kyabazinga Stadium in Bugembe.

It was Alex Isabirye’s first competitive game in charge since taking over from Arthur Kyesimira.

All the three goals in the game came in the first half. Richard Wandyaka gave the home side an early lead in the sixth minute before Musa Esenu extended their lead in the 22nd minute.

Two minutes later Denis Lubowa pulled one back for Kigezi HomeBoyz from the spot.

The second half had nothing to write home about as both sides created no more chances.

The date for the second leg is not yet confirmed both sides will have to wait for the dates.

BUL now shifts focus on the Uganda Premier League, they are ninth on the table with 25 points from 21 games.

They host Mbarara City on Saturday 8th at Kyabazinga Stadium in Bugembe.
