National Enterprise Corporation Football Club (NEC FC) cruised to a historic win on their topflight debut on Friday.
Hussein Mbalangu coached side edged Wasswa Bbosa’s Mbarara City 1-0 at Kakyeka Stadium.
Former Express FC right back Joseph Dhata scored the all important goal that earned NEC maximum points.
NEC have been busy in the transfer window and nine of the new arrivals started for the side.

Goal scorer Dhata, Brian Kayanja, Enock Ssebagala, John Paul Acire, Ibrahim Thembo, Barni Kelvin, Ronald Owinyi and Rashid Okocha all started started for NEC.
Dhata silenced Kakyeka Stadium in the 51st minute of the game and his goal was enough to give Mbalangu and his side a perfect start.
NEC will return to action next week against Busoga United while Mbarara City will visit Express FC.
