Uganda Cranes striker Derrick Nsibambi has completed a move to Kenya Premier League side Bandari FC.

As earlier reported by this website, Nsibambi trained with the Mombasa based club in the past days before he finally signed a one year contract.

Nsibambi was a free agent after leaving Al Bashaer Club in Oman at the end of last season.

The former KCCA striker was in talks with SC Villa weeks ago but failed to reach a compromise with the Jogoos and opted to move to Kenya.

Bandari is home to the Ugandan trio of William Wadri, Umaru Kasumba and defender Edward Saturo.

He becomes the second Ugandan player to join the Dockers in this current transfer window after Satulo who was signed from Rwanda’s AS Kigali two months ago.

Bandari will be seeking to challenge for next season’s Kenya Premier League title and Nsibambi could prove a decent signing for them.

Nsibambi previously played for Smouha SC in Egypt and recently played for URA FC in the opening half of last season.

The 2023/24 Kenya Premier League season is set to kick off on Saturday 26th August with Bandari hosting Tusker FC at Mbaraki Grounds in Mombasa.
