DONE DEAL: URA FC signs defender Benjamin Nyakojo

URA FC have completed the signing of former Vipers center back Benjamin Nyakojo on a 3 year deal.

Nyakojo has put pen to paper on a contract that will see him turn out for the tax collectors until 2021.

” I am honoured to have joined URA FC one of the best clubs in the country. I am here for a reason and my mission is to perform. I pledge to do my best.” the former cubs player said on arrival.

Nyakojo spent the second part of the 2017-18 season at Masavu FC on loan from Vipers SC. He was also sent out on loan to the by then FUFA Big League side Entebbe Young FC in the 2016-17 season.

The young lanky defender has also previously represented Uganda national team at the Under 17 level (Cubs) in 2015.

He is a graduate of the famous Masaza Cup with Buwekula and St. Mary’s Kitende in the National Post Primary Schools competitions.

Nyakojo joins other new acquisitions at URA who include Robert Omunuk from Kenya, Abdallah Nyanzi from Soana FC, Joshua Kawadwa from Bright Stars, Ronald Musana from Proline, Denis Okot, Solomon Okwalinga and Eric Senjobe all from KCCA on loan.

Under the same umbrella, the tax collectors have parted ways with defenders Jimmy Kulaba who joined Tusker in the KPL and Fred Okot who joined Vipers SC.

URA FC finished distant 9th on the Uganda premier league table last season with only 37 points accumulated from 30 games played
