Express football club has today Tuesday 6th November unveiled a 3 year partnership deal with Betway at Hotel Africana in Kampala.
Betway will be sponsoring the Wankulukuku outfit to the tune of Uganda Shillings 400,000,000 (400M) per year.

Express chairman Kiryowa Kiwanuka welcomed Betway with much aplomb and called upon fans to support the partnership.
” The Express fraternity warmly welcomes Betway. The partnership between Express and Betway will last for at least 3 years.”
” I call upon members of Express to stay focused and disciplined. Mukwano Gwabangi ndiba yooka means we play football, we support and shout but throwing stones and bottles is not football.”
” We expect the fan base of Express and entire football fraternity to support Betway. When the fans support Betway, Betway also supports Express. “
Kiryowa Kiwanuka said
While unfolding the deal’s package in details, Betway country manager Adelle Nyaruguma Agaba said the partnership is aimed at returning glory at Express, a club that survived relegation last season by a whisker.
” As Betway we are delighted to continue supporting local football. We are committed to making Express great again. We all know that Express has won the league 6 times and the Uganda Cup a record 10 times which means they are capable of winning again. “

Betway will now be Express FC’s headline sponsor for the 2018/19 season in a deal which includes shirt sponsorship, stadium naming rights and the management of the club.
The stadium will be named Betway-Muteesa II Wankulukuku stadium and Betway will ensure it is improved and renovated.
” A smart team goes to a smart stadium, therefore, the stadium will be renamed Betway Muteesa II Wankulukuku stadium.”

The online Betting giants join a list of partners that have teamed up with Express in the 4-month era of Kiryowa Kiwanuka who include Equity Bank, Uganda Breweries and Buganda Land Board.
Besides the sponsorship deal with Express, Betway also supports local sports through Betway Kobs in Rugby, Betway Power in Basketball ball, the national pool table league and UPDF boxing club.
