FUFA name Abdallah Mubiru as Crested Cranes’ assistant coach

The Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) has named Abdallah Mubiru as the assistant coach of the Uganda Women senior national football team (Crested Cranes).

Mubiru replaces Ayub Khalifan Kiyingi who will now concentrate on the U-20 team.

Olive Mbekeka will serve as the second Crested Cranes assistant coach while Stephen Billy Kiggundu is the goalkeepers coach.

Mubiru previously worked as the interim Uganda Cranes head coach and has recently been serving at Mbeya City in Tanzania.

He also managed at Proline FC, KCCA FC, Vipers SC and Police FC.

Kiggundu is a former goalkeeping coach at Vipers SC and URA FC. He has recently been serving in the same capacity at Tanzania’s Singida Big Stars.

He replaces Mubarak Kiberu who has working as the goalkeeping coach.
