FUFA suspends three referees over incorrect decisions

The Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) has suspended three match officials for the remainder of the 2023/24 season.

The suspended referees are William Oloya, Stephen Kimayo and Samuel Mbabali.

According to the statement from FUFA, Kimayo (centre referee) and Mbabali (second assistant referee) have been suspended for incorrect decisions made in the game between NEC FC and Kitara FC played at MTN-Omondi Stadium, Lugogo on 4th April 2024.

Kitara FC had a goal disallowed in their 1-0 defeat to NEC FC at Lugogo Stadium while Jasper Aheebwa was lucky not to be sent off for denying a goal scoring opportunity.

FIFA badge holder Oloya on the other hand has been suspended for mistakes in the game between SC Villa and Mbarara City FC played on 30th March 2024 at Muteesa II Stadium, Wankulukuku.
