FUTSAL SUPER LEAGUE: Yeak seek to stretch lead as Crown face Parakeets

The Uganda Futsal Super League will resume on Thursday 7th February with 7 fixtures at the International Futsal Courts in Mengo, Kisenyi.

The Super League had taken a week break as the teams took part in the round of 16 of the second edition of the Futsal Uganda Cup.

Yeak Kabowa will aim at stretching their lead on the table summit when they take on league debutants Aidenal School of Art at 7:00pm.

After 11 games, Yeak lead the 14-team table with 26 points, 4 better than second and third placed Crown and Parakeets.

Yeak Kabowa will look up to their target man Avemah Shaffic in pursuit for their 9th victory of the campaign. Avemah who also tops the scorers’ log with 24 goals, scored 6 goals in Yeak’s 8-4 mauling of Typhoon in the previous league outing.

The chasing pair of Crown and Parakeets will face off head on in the early kick (6:00pm) of the evening. Both sides are tied 22 points and will seek to bounce to the winning ways since they their most recent games to Aidenal and Mengo City.

Defending champions Dream have a date with the bottom placed Yap Stars at 7:00pm while Nomad will lock horns with Kabowa United at 8:00pm.

Wounded sides Typhoon and Park will go toe to toe in the last stages of the night at 9:00pm. Typhoon were humiliated by Yeak Kabowa whilst Park suffered a 3-1 defeat at the hands of Nomad.

Elephants play against Bajim while Mengo City entertain Equator in the other games.
