The Federation of Uganda Football Associations has launched the FUFA Women Inter Region tournament.
The development was confirmed at the press briefing on Wednesday at the FUFA house in Mengo.
The first edition will attract eight regions who will play a mini tournament at the Njeru Technical centre
“The third edition will also have the women version that’s a competition also called the FUFA Drum. This year, we will have a shorter and will be played in one place that’s in Njeru and eight regions will take part. The next year we shall go back to our original places to ensure that the women also celebrate their ancestral.”

The tournament will attract Buganda, Kampala, Eastern Region, Western, West Nile, North East, Northern and Kitara.
The eight Regions were group into two groups with the two best placed teams in both groups progressing to the semifinals.
