Former Kyetume FC head coach Jackson Mayanja Mia Mia will deputize Mike Hilary Mutebi at Rwanda Premier League side AS Kigali.

The duo has agreed to work together at the Nyamirambo based side for the next two years.

Mayanja just like Mike Mutebi has been unemployed since he resigned from his role at Kyetume last season.

Musanze FC another Rwanda Premier league side came to appointing Mayanja as head coach at the start of the 2020/21 season but both parties failed to reach a compromise.

As a player, Mayanja played for the national team (Uganda Cranes), featured at KCCA and played professionally in Egypt at Al Masry and Tunisia’s Esperance De Tunis.

He has previously handled KCCA, Uganda Revenue Authority (URA), Bunamwaya (now Vipers) and Simba (Tanzania).

AS Kigali was established in 1999 and host their games at Kigali Stadium located in Nyamirambo. They have won the Rwandan Cup two times and the Rwandan Super Cup two times.

AS Kigali is currently 4th on the Rwanda Premier league log with 20 points they have garnered in 12 games this campaign.
