Kataka miss late contentious penalty in stalemate against Mbarara City

Kataka FC striker Emma Mukisa’s missed a last minute penalty and subsequently drew 0-0 with Mbarara City at the Mbale Stadium.

The contentious penalty came from a goal mouth melee in the 89th minute of the game.

Mukisa who is fresh from the U20 AFCON stepped up to convert but goalkeeper Wycliff Mori Manja saved it to ensure a point for the Ankole Lions .

This was Mbarara City’s second consecutive draw as their previous fixture against NEC ended in a 1-1 draw.

Mbarara City now occupy the third position on the table with 37 points, three behind leaders Kitara FC and two behind second placed Police FC.

They next host Calvary FC at Kakyeka Stadium next Thursday on 16th March.

Kataka FC now sit a position above the relegation zone with 22 points same as Luweero United in the 13th position.

The Eastern side will travel to Hoima in their next game to play against leaders Kitara FC at Kigaya grounds.

Match day 20 will climax tomorrow Friday 10th with struggling Jinja North United FC hosting relegation threatened Soroti City at Kyabazinga Stadium in Bugembe.
