Another Ugandan forward joins Kenya’s Vihiga Queens

Ugandan forward Winnie Babirye has completed to Kenya Women Premier League giants Vihiga Queens FC.

Babirye signed a two year contract with the Vihiga based club as earlier reported by Kawowo Sports.

She joins Vihiga Queens from FUFA Women Super League club Makerere University, a side she guided to a topflight promotion last season.

The veteran forward now becomes the second Ugandan player at Vihiga Queens after former Kawempe Muslim and Uganda Martyrs winger Anitah Namata.

Babirye is a tried and tested player who has previously featured for the Uganda senior team The Crested Cranes.

She has also previously played for Buikwe She Red, Kampala Queens, Lady Doves and Tooro Queens.

Vihiga Queens are four time Kenya Women Premier League champions who are seeking for their record extending fifth title.
