KCCA FC rekindle interest in former SC Villa striker

KCCA FC are interested in signing former SC Villa striker Ivan Bogere ahead of the forthcoming transfer window.

Bogere is currently a free agent following his departure at record Uganda Premier league champions SC Villa.

The forward prematurely left SC Villa in January this with six months left on his employment contract.

Swift Sports Uganda understands that KCCA FC have already expressed their interest in Bogere’s signature. During his time at Proline, the Kasasiro Boys were also interested in his services.

At the time of his exit at SC Villa, Bogere had managed to score three league goals for Dusan Stojanovic’s side this season.

He joined SC Villa at the start of the 2022/23 season on a two year employment contract from Proline FC.

The former Uganda Hippos striker had a brilliant breakthrough 2018/19 FUFA Big League season with Proline, scoring 14 goals.

He also finished as the top scorer at the 2020 CECAFA U20 (AFCON Qualifiers) in Arusha, Tanzania, scoring five goals.

Besides Proline FC and SC Villa, Bogere has also previously featured for Wakiso Giants.
