Lady Cricket Cranes flagged off for Kwibuka tournament

The Lady Cricket Cranes have been flagged off on Friday 14th June at the National Council of Sports headquarters ahead of the sixth edition of the Kwibuka Cricket for peace Women’s T20 Tournament in Kigali, Rwanda.

Assistant general secretary David Katende hailed the Uganda Cricket Association towards the game in the country

“I thank the Uganda Cricket Association for the support rendered towards the sport in the country. I call upon our representatives to go and fight to rise the Ugandan flag.” Stated Katende

Uganda will this time lock horns with Rwanda, debutants Mali and Tanzania from June 16th -23rd. Defending champions and three time winners Kenya have bowed out due to financial constraints.

Coach Michael Grace Ndiko will manage the Ugandan team and will be assisted by Ivan Kakande, fresh from coaching stint in Sri Lanka.
