Vipers SC returned to winning ways with a 2-0 victory over URA FC on Saturday at MTN Omondi Stadium in Lugogo.

The Venoms were without their head coach Livingstone Mbabazi on the touchline for reasons yet to be established.

His assistant Richard Wasswa was in charge of the team as they maximized points under the floodlights of Lugogo.

They came into the contest back of a 1-0 defeat to KCCA FC in their previous game.

This was the first game that URA FC hosted at Lugogo since confirming their departure at Metha Stadium which will now be used as a Cricket Oval.

Vipers prevailed through goals from Moses Waiswa and Abdul Karim Watambala.

Waiswa gave the reigning league champions an early lead in the 2nd minute of the game.

His first goal since making a return to the Kitende based side from KCCA FC in January this year.
