The diminutive midfielder spent six years at Bright Stars having joined them in 2016 from Vipers Junior Team.
Mbarara City head coach Sadick Sempigi has expressed his delight in signing the former St. Mary’s Kitende midfielder.
” We are delighted to secure the signing of Jungu Methodius and we are thrilled to get this one over the line. He was one of the standout players in Soltilo Bright Stars last season and possesses many of the qualities that we are looking for to strengthen the midfield unit.”
Sempigi said via Mbarara City media.
Jungu is the third player to be unveiled by the Ankole Lions after Goalkeeper Wycliff Mori Manja and striker Gabriel Matata.
However Matata controversially refuted his transfer despite penning a two year contract with the club.
Mbarara City will be aiming to bounce back from the FUFA Big League after succumbing to relegation from the topflight last season.
