SC Villa fought from a goal down against Onduparaka to record their second victory of the season. Prior to this, they had only beaten Police FC in four outings.

It was a timely win following a winless run of two matches. A goalless stalemate against nemesis Express and 2-1 loss to BUL FC in their first home game at Njeru.

” It was a difficult game but we have to raise our game even the more if we are to get the best results in the coming match against Mbarara city ”

” The boys are visibly exhausted after playing three matches in six games. We have to continue working hard to better our position “

The Greek tactician highlighted the importance of the victory and termed it as a huge confidence boost to his young lads.

“It’s definitely a result that is going to bring calmness to the camp for us to prepare for the next game. Of course one result means nothing and we have to continue winning matches while at the same time gaining valuable experience.

He added.

” We have to stabilize our performance and combine it with good results.

Villa will visit stubborn Mbarara city, a side that has always given them hard time when they visit.

Mohammed Shaban gave Onduparaka a deserved lead, but Villa fought back, thanks to goals from Isaac Ogwang and a scorcher by man of the match Salim Abdallah.
