Seven fixtures headline kick off of the 47th edition of Stanbic Uganda cup

The 47th edition of the Stanbic Uganda Cup officially kicks off today Monday 5th-April with seven games to be played.

Due to the COVID 19 pandemic, it was resolved by the FUFA competitions committee that only Premier league and Big League teams are the only ones that will take part in this edition.

The competition will start at the round of 32 and is to be played on a home and away basis.

Proline are defending champions, they won it in the 2019 after edging Bright Stars 5-4 in spot kicks after a one all stalemate under Shafik Bisaso in Masaka.

In 2020 the competition was not concluded due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Uganda Premier League table leaders Vipers SC host Busoga United at St Mary’s Stadium in Kitende.

At AbaBet Green Light Stadium in Arua, Onduparaka will face off with Big League debutants Luweero United.

Water Football Club will entertain Wakiso Giants at Kavumba Recreation Grounds.

The Uganda Premier League record champions SC Villa host Ndejje University at Bombo Barracks Military grounds and it will be the televised match.

Charles Ayiekoh and his Maroons FC will visit Terrazo and Tiles at Kakyeka Stadium in Mbarara.

Onduparaka Vs Luweero United- AbaBet Green Light Stadium Arua.
Vipers SC Vs Busoga United- St Mary’s Stadium Kitende.
