Striker Alfred Leku joins Arua Hill Sports Club

FUFA Big League big spenders Arua Hill Sports Club have officially unveiled former Vipers forward Alfred Leku as their latest signing.

Leku has signed an employment contract of two years with the Arua outfit.

Leku has been a free agent after leaving Proline FC, a side he featured for during the previous Uganda Premier League season.

The gangly striker is a product of Kibuli SS and St Mary’s Kitende from where he elevated to Vipers SC.

He played for Onduparaka FC, Express FC and Botswana Premier League sides side Jwaneng Galaxy FC and Extension Gunners.

He is remembered for scoring the all-important goal as Express overcame Masavu FC at Bugonga to survive relegation on the closing day of the 2017-18 season.

Leku joins other new signings at the club who include left-back Dan Birikwalira (Vipers SC), Rashid Agau (Maroons FC), Mike Kawooya (Tooro United), Paddy Muhumuza (Tooro United), Collins Onega and youthful striker Idi Abdulwahid.

The club changed identity from Dove All-Stars to Arua Hill and will host games at the Barifa Stadium in Arua.

They target promotion to the top flight under the stewardship of Hussein Mbalangu who will be assisted by Joseph Kiwanuka while Bosco Dudu serves as the Technical Director.
