Ugandan midfielder Moses Oloya joins new club in Vietnam

Ugandan midfielder Moses Oloya has joined Ho Chi Minh City FC in the Vietnamese topflight league.

Oloya has officially left giants Hanoi FC following the expiry of his employment contract.

The former Uganda Cranes midfielder spent four years at Hanoi FC and won two V.League titles and two Vietnamese Cup.

Before joining Hanoi in 2017, the former KCCA midfielder featured for Russian side Kuban Krasnodar and Vietnamese sides Becamex Binh Duong and Thanh Sai Gon FC.

Oloya is expected to be unveiled by Ho Chi Minh City FC in the coming days.

Ho Chi Minh City are five time winners of the Vietnamese League and two Vietnamese Cup.

Joseph Mpande Mbolimbo of Haiphong and Godfrey Baba Kizito who plays for Than Quang Minh, are the other Ugandan born players featuring in the Vietnamese league.

The 2021 Vietnamese league was cancelled after 12 rounds due to the rise of COVID-19 cases in the country.
