URA FC complete swoop for Wakiso Giants striker

URA FC have completed the signing of winger Viane Ssekajugo from Wakiso Giants, Swift Sports Uganda has learnt.

Ssekajugo signed a two year contract with the Tax Collectors on Friday and is expected to be unveiled very soon.

The diminutive forward has been Wakiso Giants’ best player in the past two seasons having emerged as their top scorer in the process.

Ssekajugo, who is comfortable with both feet, joined the Purple Sharks from Onduparaka two seasons ago.

He is expected to be a direct replacement of Michael Birungi who left the club after his contract expired and a big boost to their attacking department.

Ssekajugo reunites with the club’s interim coach Simeon Masaba with whom he worked at Onduparaka FC.

URA has so far unveiled Derrick Ndahiro from SC Villa and youthful defender Simon Baligeya.

The club has also signed Kabon Living from Onduparaka, goalkeeper James Alitho and former Cubs captain Andrew Okiring.

URA FC will face Ethiopia’s Coffee FC in the first round of the CAF confederation Cup early next month.
