Vihiga Queens and JKT Queens have become the first teams to qualify for the semi finals in the ongoing CAF Women’s Champions League Qualifiers.

This follows their respective victories in the Group B games played at KCCA’s Mtn Stadium in Lugogo.

JKT Queens beat Zanzibar’s New Generation 1-0 courtesy of Esther Mabanza Gindulya’s second half goal.

Mabanza broke the deadlock in the 58th minute following a brilliant exchange between Donisia Minja and Stumai Abdallah.

Vihiga Queens also beat Rwanda’s AS Kigali with the similar score courtesy of Bertha Omita’s 36th minute goal.

Ugandan trio of Ruth Aturo, Anitah Namata and Grace Winnie Babirye featured for the Kenyan champions.

Both JKT and Vihiga have six points while AS Kigali and New Generation are eliminated after losing their first two games.

Vihiga and JKT will vie for the Group B table leadership in the final group game on Saturday.

The two will face the top two teams from Group A, most likely to be CBE, Buja Queens or hosts Kampala Queens.
