“It was a tough game for us, we dominated possession in the opening minutes but Villa were the better side during the game. But the players were committed and that’s why we progressed.”

Da Costa also asserts that they know how their next opponents play and his side will be going in the final to pick the trophy not to play the final.

“We have played KCCA FC twice in the league and they are not a new side or one from another country. We are going to analyze their team and we want to pick the trophy not play the final. I don’t know whether it will happen since it’s a final but we want to win the trophy.”

Da Costa will become the first Vipers SC head coach to win a cup double in case his side overcome KCCA FC in the final.
