Vipers SC have terminated the employment contract of Angolan forward Nelione Jose Tavares after months.

Tavares joined the Kitende outfit on a two year employment contract at the start of this season.

Swift Sports Understands that following positive and constructive recent discussions between the forward and the club management, the two parties have agreed to end their marriage.

Tavares last featured for the Stanbic Uganda Cup champions in the 2-0 defeat to URA FC in November at St.Mary’s Stadium in Kitende.

The 31 year old has also previously played at Angola Premier league side Kabuscorp Sport Clube Do Palancaon, Interclube FF, Cuando Cubango and ASA all in Angola.

At Vipers, the experienced striker has found it difficult to get playing time with already established forwards such as Yunus Sentamu, the ever improving Ceaser Manzoki and Daniel Mzee Serunkuuma.

Vipers will next face Tooro United on Saturday at St. Mary’s Stadium in Kitende.
