Wounded sides Wakiso Giants and Proline FC will be meeting in what appears to be a repeat of the 2018/19 Big League final.

While Wakiso Giants fell to a disappointing 2-0 against SC Villa, Proline also fell to a 1-0 loss against Busoga United in their previous game.

For the reason that Kabaka Kyabaggu stadium in Wakiso has been booked for another function, the game will be hosted by the purple sharks who have been granted to use the Betway Mutesa II stadium at Wankulukuku.

These two sides will be meeting in the Uganda Premier League for the first time. However, the previous meeting in the FUFA Big League final saw the Wakiso based side lose 1-0 to Proline at Lugogo.

The Kefa Kisala coached side will be without star player Krizestom Ntambi who travelled to Ethiopia for a friendly game with the Cranes.

They will also miss the services of goalkeeper Yasin Mugabi, midfielders Ayub Kisalita and Yasin Mugume due to injuries.

Defender Fahad Kawoya will also miss having seen red in the previous game against SC Villa at Namboole.

For Proline, Mahad Yahaya will be sidelined due to injury but the good news is the timely return of star strikers Ivan Bogere and Hamis “Diego” Kiiza who have been down with illness.

Midfielder Arnold Sserunjogi and forward Ibrahim Bonyo who have had injuries for a while also return in time to save the bottom placed team.

9th placed Purple Sharks have garnered 10 points from 8 games while Proline are languishing in the red zone with no points yet after playing 6 games.

A win for the hosts takes them to 13 points and to the 5th position while maximum points for the guests helps them to earn their first 3 counting points of the season.
