URA tactician Sam Ssimbwa has declared his team as potential double champions after grinding through a tough tie to progress to the round of 16.

Brian Majwega scored a first half goal on the rebound after missing a penalty on the first attempt. Mohammad Sekeba had saved the initial kick.

“It was a tough round of 32 tie, we employed the right tactics and effort to get past this hurdle”.

“Now that we have gone past Mbarara city, a team that gave us a hard time at home and we managed to beat them at their own home, I believe we are good enough to go all the way” .

The URA tactician also confirmed that his team are ready to fight for both the league and the cup. They are currently joint top with defending champions Vipers on 36 points after match round 16.

” I believe we are ready to fight on two battlefronts, if we win both, well and good and if we manage to get one, that would also be fine but what I can assure is, we are going to fight for both of them”

URA will resume their league conquest when they host host KCCA FC on 13th April at the Arena of Visions
