Mbarara City required a late Henry Kitegenyi goal to edge a resilient Kaaro Karungi side in the Western Derby played at Kakyeka.

The encounter was destined for a barren stalemate but the former Vipers and Plascon striker had a different idea.

He broke the deadlock in the 70th minute after fluffing a couple of chances.
