Ratib Muwonge optimistic ahead of ABU elimination fight

Uganda’s Super Lightweight boxer Ratib Muwonge has promised his fans that he will overcome Tanzanian Ally Mbukwa in the Africa Boxing Union Elimination fight.

Muwonge will lock horns with Mbukwa on 3rd February, 2023 at Obligato in Kampala.

“I am going to smash him, he will not even remember the road that takes him back home. This is going to be super action, I will write on him with punches and he will learn how to speak Luganda.”

“I have been training well with my coaches and so the fans should expect the very best.” Said Muwonge

Big Strikers International spokesperson Robert Wasswa has urged the boxing fraternity to come and give support to Muwonge and other fights

“We have several fights on that day and so urged all the boxing fraternity to come and give support to the boxers.” As Big Strikers, we promise to organize a great event.” Said Wasswa

This will be Muwonge’s seventh professional fight. He beat Tanzanian Ally Hamisi in his previous fight.

His opponent Mbukwa, has seven fights, lost twice and won five.

On the same day, Fahad Mayombo will face off with Makoba Franco in the Super Welterweight bout while Sserwadda Saddam will battle Derrick Mwirugazu in the Super Lightweight contest.

Okello Justine will take on Okou Fredrick in the Super Lightweight fight whereas Jjunju Power will face off with Kasaga Muhammed in the Bantam weight fight.
