Uganda Cranes captain Emmanuel Okwi has completed a move to four time Iraqi Premier league champions Erbil SC.
Okwi joins Erbil SC from another Iraq side Zawra FC.
The development was confirmed on Erbil social media platforms on Wednesday evening.
He is expected to feature for his new side in their game against Al Basra on Friday, 27th January.
Erbil becomes Okwi’s eighth club outside Uganda after Simba SC, Young African, Etoile Du Sahel (Tunisia), Sonderjyske (Denmark), Al Ittihad (Egypt) and Rwanda side Kiyovu FC
He also becomes the fourth Ugandan to feature for Erbil after Sula Matovu, Ivan Bukenya and Allan Kateregga alias Dancing Rasta.
Erbil are currently 15th on the Iraqi Premier league table with 12 points they have garnered in 12 games.
Erbil are four time Iraqi Premier league champions (2006/7, 2007/8, 2008/9 and 2011/12).
The club was founded on November, 3rd 1968 and host their home games at a 25,000 capacity seater Franso Hariri Stadium.
