Nine-time Stanbic Uganda Cup SC Villa have shred Regional league Kireka United 6-0 at Kings Park Bweyogerere to book their place in the Round of 32 of the 2022/23 season.
Rogers Kiwanuka bagged a brace while Hassan Musana, Charles Bbaale and Edward Mazembe were the other SC Villa scorers. The other goal was an own goal from the hosts.
Earlier on in the day, FUFA Big League side Police FC edged North Eastern side Apuutun FC 1-0 at Tubur P/S in Soroti, a goal which was scored by captain Joseph Ssentume.
Villa and Police join Vipers SC, BUL FC, Kitara FC, Ndejje University FC, Jinja North United FC, Admin FC, Junior Eagles FC, Pajule Lions FC, and Blue Stars FC in the Round of 32.
The action will resume on Thursday, 2nd February at various venues.
Maroons FC will visit Kampala Region side Kisugu United FC at Bugolobi Coffee Grounds at 2pm while at 4pm Blacks Power FC will be away to North Eastern Region side Bukedea Central FC at Emokori Grounds in Bukedea.
Both games will be live on FUFA TV while at 4pm there will be another game between the Western Region side Gorilla Highland SC and FUFA Big League side Kataka FC at Mashaka Play Ground in Kisoro.
