Derrick Kakooza joins Egyptian Premier league side

Ugandan striker Derrick Kakooza has completed a move to Egyptian Premier league side ENNPI.

He joins the Egyptian side on a two and half year employment contract as revealed by Kawowo Sports.

Kakooza has been a free agent since his departure at Lativa side Valmiera II in 2022.

Finland side KuPs were also interested in Kakooza’s signature and played for them over the weekend against SJK in the Finland Cup but his transfer didn’t materialize.

ENNPI are currently 16th on the 18 team table league with 13 points they have garnered in 16 games.

Kakooza emerged the Top scorer of the AFCON U-20 tournament in Mauritania while featuring for the Uganda Hippos.

He is a graduate of Uganda Police Football Club Junior Team is also a former student of St Mary’s Kitende who started his football career with Naguru Police Academy.
