SC Villa move up to 4th with victory over Onduparaka

SC Villa beat 10-man Onduparaka 2-1 in the early kickoff at the Akii-bua Memorial Stadium in Lira.

Hassan Musana and Charles Bbaale scored for the hosts while Rashid Okocha netted from the spot for the Arua outfit.

Onduparaka finished the game with 10 men after Mandela Aziz Malish was sent off in the closing stages of the game.

Jackson Magera’s charges have won three of the four games they have hosted at Akii Bua Stadium with their only loss coming against leaders KCCA FC.

Musana fired Villa into the lead at the stroke of halftime with a well taken free kick.

Okocha restored parity for the visitors from the spot after Villa custodian Meddie Kibirige had fouled Dominic Abonga.

Bbaale secured maximum points for Villa in the 78th minute.

SC Villa move to 4th place with 28 points in 16 games while Onduparaka stay bottom with just 7 points.

SC Villa next next visit Express on 5th March while the Caterpillars welcome Gaddafi FC on 4th March.
