The FUFA Big League officially resumes with six match day 19 fixtures this Thursday afternoon across the country.
The big game of the round will see the top two sides NEC FC and Mbarara City lock horns at Kakyeka Stadium in Mbarara.
NEC currently lead the table with 36 points, one better than second placed Mbarara City.
The reverse fixture between the two sides ended goalless at the Bugolobi Coffee grounds.
The Ankole Lions will bank on their impressive home record having won eight of the nine games played at home this season.
Their opponents NEC have been a poor side on the road but have picked four away victories in the league more than any other side.
The other games to be played on Thursday will see an early kick off between 4th placed Police and 5th placed Calvary FC at Kavumba.
Calvary have a glorious chance to close in the top four since they are currently seven points behind Police FC and Kitara who have 34 points each.
There is a relegation battle in the Paridi Stadium in Adjumani as 15th placed Adjumani Town Council host bottom placed Northern Gateway.
Adjumani will automatically hit the 20 point mark if they pick victory today while Northern Gateway who have only 11 points will inch closer to relegation in case of any defeat.
Luweero United host Jinja North in Kasana, Luweero while Kaaro Karungi host the in-form Kyetume FC in Ibanda.
All eyes will be on Denis Omedi as his Booma FC side visit Soroti City at the Soroti Stadium. He will be seeking to score his 19th goal of the season.
Kitara will hope to get their first win under new coach Sam Simbwa as they take on Lugazi FC at the Kigaaya grounds.
On Friday, Ndejje will take on Kataka FC while Kaaro Karungi will host Luweero United in the rescheduled fixture on Sunday.
