Police complete Stanbic Uganda Cup quarter final menu with win over Ndejje

Police FC defeated fellow Big League side Ndejje and FC 2-0 to seal a quarter final berth of the Stanbic Uganda Cup.

Denis Kalanzi and substitute Herman Wasswa were the goal scorers for Angello Lonyesi’s coached side

Kalanzi put the hosts ahead in the 79th minute by heading home captain Joseph Ssentume’s well delivered cross.

Wasswa who replaced Ahmed Aliyu Danjuma in the 81st minute scored the second only four minutes after his introduction

Lyonensi believes they lacked concentration hence failure to scored in the first half but he is happy with the performance of the substitutes who managed to give the best hence positive results,

” We lacked concentration in the first half hence a goalless first but good enough the players we introduced changed the game after observing what we had failed to do.”

“It is a great result for us and a great motivation ahead of our next league game against Mbarara City FC on Sunday 25th.”

Police FC, Vipers, BUL, Express, Calvary FC, Adjumani TC, Express, Soltilo Bright Stars and KCCA are the quarter finalists of the 49th edition of the Uganda Cup.
