Vipers SC have suspended defender Disan Galiwango due to disciplinary reasons, Swift Sports Uganda understands.
Galiwango was suspended for failing to turn up for training at Vipers’ after being dropped by the club for the trip to Simba a two weeks ago.
Galiwango and other players who missed out on the trip to Tanzania had to continue with the club’s training program.
After dodging training, the club decided to suspend the left back and has since missed the Venoms’ Stanbic Uganda Cup tie against Wakiso Giants and was also not involved in the club’s CAF Champions league 1-1 draw with Raja Casablanca.
According to reliable sources, Galiwango is set to be released by the five time Uganda Premier league champions at the end of the season.
He last featured for the Venoms in their home defeat to Simba SC last month.
Galiwango joined Vipers from Express at the start of the 2020/21 season on a four year contract and only has a year left on his current deal.
He began his career at Rifo Soccer Academy before joining Simba FC in 2015. He also featured for The Saints FC and Water FC.
