Former Wakiso Giants midfieder Ibrahim ‘Owen’ Kasule is set to complete a move to New York Red Bulls II.
Kasule travelled to USA over the weekend ahead of his move to the side managed by former Uganda Cranes captain Ibrahim Sekagya.

He had joined Turkish side Ankara Keciorengucu in the January transfer window but following a series of unfortunate circumstances, the deal seems to have been cancelled.
Kasule’s move to Turkey forced New York Red Bulls II head coach Sekagya to write a letter to Ankara and advised them not to deal with the player because he had a ‘contract’ with them.
The former Cranes skipper sent a dummy contract to Ankara as proof that New York Red Bulls II had already signed the player.
Following the latest development, it’s not clear if Red Bulls II paid Ankara who also claimed they acquired the player legally through the FUFA and FIFA system.
The highly rated midfieder contributed five goals and six assists for Wakiso Giants this season. At New York Red Bulls II, he will reunite with his former teammate at Frank Ssebuufu.
