The organisers of the Pilsner monthly awards have named Jackson Magera and Simon Tamale as the coach and player of the month of March respectively.
Magera and Tamale were rewarded on Thursday evening at Kati Kati Restaurant in Lugogo.
This was the second consecutive time that SC Villa tactician Magera was named best of the month.
Magera also clinched the best of December accolade last year.
In March, Magera helped Villa move to the summit of the Uganda Premier league. He guided his side to five wins in the same month.
He beat URA FC coach Sam Timbe and Maroons Muhammad Ssenfuka.
Tamale won the player of the month gong. He helped the Luzira based side win two games and drew twice in March.
The Maroons custodian beat Express FC forward Allan Kayiwa and Arua Hill’s Innocent Media.
Magera and Tamale both walked way with Shs1M and a winners plaque courtesy of main sponsors Pilsner.
