FUFA has confirmed Tuesday 30th- July-2024 as the date for the draws of the fifth edition of the FUFA Drum tournament.
The draws will be held on at the FUFA Complex in Mengo at 11:00pm.
For starters the FUFA Drum tournament is played amongst the 16 Provinces that is Buganda, Lango, Tooro, Karamoja, Kampala, Ankole, Bukedi, Sebei, Busoga, Bugisu, Kigezi, Rwenzori, West Nile, Bunyoro, Teso and Acholi.
The first edition of the FUFA drum tournament was played in 2018 and Buganda was crowned champions after defeating West Nile 2-1 in a two legged final.
Acholi were crowned champions of the second edition in 2019, they defeated Bukedi 5-3 in spot kicks after both sides playing to a goalless full-time draw.
West Nile won the third edition after a 3-1 victory against Lango in a two legged final.
Lango emerged winners of the previous edition, they defeated Busoga 2-1 in a game that was played at MTN Omondi Stadium Lugogo.
Darius Ojok and Emmanuel Obua scored for winners Lango while Busoga’s consolation was scored by Lawrence Tezikya
