Lugazi FC were 7-1 winners over bottom placed Northern Gateway at the Lugazi Stadium in one of the seven Big League games played.

The result automatically became the biggest victory recorded this campaign.

Striker Gerald Ogweti grabbed an early brace and took his personal tally to 14 goals this season.

Isaac Tamale, Moses Buga and second half substitutes Bob Charles Akena, Shafik Kiryowa and Ben Ntege scored one apiece before the losing side pulled a consolation in the final five minutes of the game.

Lugazi moved to the 8th place on 32 points whereas Northern Gateway remained bottom with 18 points from 24 games played.

Northern Gateway have been the league’s whipping boys and have on three occasions lost with a 5-0 scoreline against Ndejje University, NEC FC and Kyetume.

The Lira based side will host promotion hopefuls NEC while Lugazi will visit Booma in the next games next week.
